I don't see any reason that you couldn't put a vent in the bathroom door. I think I would put it up high so that the fan exhausts the hotter air.

Today I replaced the 6" fan in the bathroom with an older FanTastic vent I had. Received many new parts (free) from FanTastic to upgrade it to a 6000RBTA.
