I use ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) in my cork clutch. The cheap ordinary stuff not the fancy expensive type. Not had any clutch problems in 20,00 miles

The clutch slipping could be that the mixture in 6your clutch fluid is incorrect. Normally it is 50-50 30wt oil and kerosene. I have tweaked this at times.
