I am talking of tangents that still grip but a just a little loose. Yes try spit. I use spit and the superglue trick all the time. The problem that can happen

Saliva does it for me, every time. Pull out the tangent, pop the shaft onto the tongue, the tiniest bit of moisture enlarges the wood, pop the tangent back in.
