Not quite true with the case interchange. I have machined out the inner web that the 250 cases use and used them on 430's.

Josh, Sounds like my 82 430CR, did you crack the center case? or the side case? The spring loaded pawl on the kick (inside) usually breaks off

You might have a bigger problem than you think. If the crack is near the boss that holds the "peg", it will be a problem every time the kickstarter is used.
