Yes, they are similar. Teleplex used a wood core for their tapes, RCA used a plastic center. I believe that both interchange. Ted Wagner

Are the tapes in these similar to the instructograph tapes? I have seen paper tapes for sale on ebay from time to time, but I don't believe I've seen anything
