The knob is not the problem You need to replace your heather fan resistor, under the dash on the passenger side. 15-20$ part at your dealership, a 5 min job.

If you buy a set of wheel locks they usually come with five locks. The fifth one effectively locks your spare tire. Have not put a locking cap on my gas tank
