That's why I said to check the wiring, all over the bike. The "kill" switch is only one place that can kill the engine, any loose or shorting connection can do

There are eight pins on the cdi unit and the color code from the schematic isn't the same as the color code on the cdi diagram and the rectifier diagram. This

All the switches are in sereis, so just put a jumper from one connection to the other.( From ground to the ground side of the selinoid coil.) That should do

... You have covered most things, but I would bet you have an electrical problem, first off check all the electrical connections, mostly in the ignition

Nice job! The picture looks like a Kohler or Wisconcin V-twin. Having ridden a few service cycles, back when I was a kid, it's hard to fathom a modern 250cc
