Ron, HM3 is Hospital Corpsmen 3rd Class. FMF is Fleet Marine Force. This means that the corpsman is assigned to the Marines. Ron Wilkinson Great Salt Lake

"fmf" to me, suggests Fleet Marine Force. The Marines used the navy corpsmen for their medical needs Jerry G (Glickstein) aka Sgt Glick ( Ret.) 1951-1953
