Thanks for the info. I'll get a closer look at the axle, but probably not until spring. I don't think the trailer has brakes since it only weighs 500 lbs.

First, like a car axle, always replace the Ubolts when changing the axle. Car and Trailer Ubolts are designed with a tighter fitting to help preventing them
