Very interesting, thankyou, Tim. I would be sad to see real gas lighting replaced by these though! It would be nice to see this kind of LED technology used

That's a thought - how many LED cells would have equivalent brightness to one gas mantle? Actually some CFL types resemble a gas mantle more than most electric
