The shrouds we have preserved from Vasa are not heavily tarred (tar survives pretty well all over the ship and other bits of rigging so we would expect to find

Hello Guy, Actually it is a very light tan color, the same color as natural fiber rope that has been exposed to the weather for awhile. I used Minwax Fruitwood
