Hi Bruce, Also my Harmona Cajun box is built the same way: Reeds are open when stops are down. Imho the better, the more rugged way, for the stops never can

If that is the same Morreli from ebay I started with, when the stops are pulled up it closes the reed bank. Thats opposite to most LA built boxes I've played.

Thanks Dwight. Leaving the stops in seems a better way so they won't get bent up, and I noticed that mine are not exactly screwed in to the blocks exactly

Most of the Louisiana boxes have the stops out to play. Some foreign made boxes, and some custom made boxes, have the stops in to play. After a few accidents
