i have a roller bearing that shelled out in the trans. thru put and drive shaft rear bearings seem OK. doesnt seem like there's any play on either shafts

The Terratrac DT34 has the leaf springs , made between 1952 and 1954 , the case 310 is a copy from this machine , Maybe it is a DT34 !
