You could put the airbox lid on OVER the K+N, using longer bolts. Might restrict air flow enough to enrichen mixture. Dan

I have two double K&N's directly on the carbs. So I don't use the airbox at all. This is combined with a Dynojet-kit which includes needles and 124-mainjets.

If you were cruising at freeway speed she probably got real hot, not a good thing you could burn a valve or worse, you need richer mix before running KN again.

You could make a restrictor to go over the K & N. Start with duct tape to find out how much to restrict, then build a "fancy one". Yep, the K & N flows a LOT
