To test the cable for continuity, use a volt/ohmmeter and check corresponding pins on each end. You might want to move the cable around a bit while testing,

When you open the unit there is a metal holder for the batter which has the number etched on it. This is how I confirmed the number, or it is also listed in

It says in the manual that the internal battery of the A3 should be a CR2016 but in the FAQs of korgaseries.org it says CR2032. The are not the same battery
