One other thing I forgot to mention. If Dad and "Junior" are the only ones there then Dad can't Coach a Base (need to have an Adult in the Dugout).

Yup, (assuming the son is an "approved" coach). At 16 - 17 they are not adults!!! Also, a team is only allowed ONE Youth Coach, the Manager and the other Coach

Under the proposed rule changes regarding the use of youths as umpires and coaches, LL has given tacit approval of allowing coaches to be 16 and 17 years old.

Most of the leagues arounfd here opted for plan b - longer rest, no "and a game". Probably just reflective of how most leagues operated.
