If you don't mind being different, how about a Diesel? Here is a 6.5hp single cylinder engine. Has 3/4" shaft, electric start and a charging system.

actually in bike frames you not only want it light,but as little flex in the material as possible.i built some extremely light stiff frames out of .029"
