That only proves the cylinder is dead. Take the plug wire off a dead cylinder. Put a philips screw driver in it. Hold it about ½" over ground (V/C, cylinder

well lets see, there are two coils and each one feeds a plug on each side of the motor, I know it is not firing on the drivers side because I can pull plug

I'm no expert, but the next thing I'd troubleshoot is the ignition coil(s). Not sure what the setup is on your Legacy, but assuming that your diagnosis is

That's not possible... What I mean to say is the ignition coils are of a waste fire design. One coil tower fires the spark plug with 30K volts negative while
