Have you tried the paper yet? The reel should not be hitting the bed knife hard. It should be adjusted to within range to cut a couple sheets of coping paper.

My grandfather and his two brothers owned the State Line Machine shop in Port Chester back then. That's how I got my Locke. They must have known each other.
